Going to California

I moved to CA (from the Boston area) in 2015 and had this song on my playlist, now 2 years later I decided to do a cover of it. Moving to CA actually made it hard for me to play/perform music because of my lack of equipment and living situations. While I solved those two issues I still didn't have a platform to share or collaborate on, so I started toying around with social media for this reason. I'm happy to share this cover here as a way to network with other musicians. I'll be looking around the forums here more and reaching out, thanks!

Very nice cover. You made it your own without destroying the vibe of the original.

Eph221, I'm just far enough south where rent isn't quite as bad but I can drive up to go to concerts in SF if needed!

Batsbrew and biodiode, thanks for commenting on the recording quality, I spent a good amount of time doing test runs to capture a decent mic placement, then spent a good amount of time mixing the mic with the direct signal to find a sweet spot.

Thank's Mesh! I started working on an acoustic version of a Robin Trower tune, I'll record it over this weekend and post it when it's ready.

That was really nice...    Zep-ish for sure, particularly the vocals, but still enough to make it your own.   Mix sounds great too - thick but very clear.

Sound good here, though I to thought that the reverb was a tad over done, thanks for sharing.

Though I've never heard the Zepp version, I like what you've done and how larger it is. I think though that you could have eased back a tad on the reverb, but still a fine production.
