32-bit plugins on 64-bit system HOW?

Hi, me again.
I've asked this before.
IS there a way to get Cakewalk Sound Center working on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit? They make a crazy static noise when I play them.
There are some really decent sounds there! And quite a few!
Has anyone found out how to use those older Cakewalk plugins? Or is it just a lost cause?
I tried a file someone directed me to awhile ago, but no luck.
Thanks

Have you tried loading the CSC programs into Rapture Session?

If Rapture Session was installed after CSC, the programs should already be in the Rapture Session browser. Add the synth to a project, open its browser and look for the CSC bank. On my system, it is the last bank.

    That sounds really good!
So... I got sonar platinum all at once, (I didn't upgrade from a different version) I'm not sure if Rapture came before CSC.
But, you say there should be a folder or directory where you choose the presets, that says CSC? Sweet!
And if not... can I somehow manually load the patches from CSC into Rapture?

Rapture Session is not Rapture.  Rapture Session is a different synth with a separate installer outside the SONAR family of installers. If you installed Rapture Session before CSC, the easiest way to migrate CSC into Rapture Session is rerun the Rapture Session installer. This will migrate all the DPro, Rapture and CSC programs into Rapture Session and set up the appropriate registry entries for Rapture Session to find the multisample folders for each synth.

Ohh... i thought all the plugins with the word "Sessions" tagged on were a smaller version of a full program. Like how Lounge Lizard Sessions is a watered down version of the full program.
Cool. I really appreciate this info!
So, you are able to use these 32bit plugins through Rapture Sessions? With no audio glitches?
    I will certainly try it!
    Thanks again!

Rapture Session is a player only version of Rapture Pro. Like Rapture Pro, it can load programs from CSC, Dimension Pro/LE, Rapture and Rapture LE. SONAR includes 32 and 64bit versions of Rapture Session.

You're not actually using a 32-bit plugin, just the associated data files (which may be FLAC, SFZ or 24-bit WAV, all of which are universally compatible). You're getting around needing a 32-big plugin by using 64-bit Rapture to host those files.

BTW, 32-bit plugins generally do work in 64-bit SONAR, but not quite 100% of the time.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

One of the things I love about Sonar is that I'm always learning new things about what it can do and sound processing in general.
I live in California where it's about 7:30am. I'm about to go start Sonar and give your suggestions a try!
    One last question (maybe)...
Do I need to choose between the 32bit and 64bit versions of Rapture Sessions when I try reinstalling it? Can I have both installed at the same time? And, I assume I should use Command Center, right? Sorry about so many questions!

The Command Center will install the 64bit version by default when run on a 64bit OS.

    Thanks,
I'll look for CSC in the Rapture Sessions preset menu. If it's not there, I'll try reinstalling RS from Command Center.

    Hey...
Many thanks to both of you!
Of course CSC was sitting right there in Rapture Sessions, the whole time no doubt!
And yes, it plays just fine...
Well, I feel like an idiot, but I do appreciate the help! More sounds now!

I run Cakewalk sound center on a 64 bit Windows 8.1 with no problems here.
It is a cool plug in with decent library's. As Scook mentioned though it might be worth trying to load them in to Rapture if you having issues with CSC in Windows 10.

Thanks to you too for asking the question.  I had no idea that the CSC samples were available in Rapture Sessions - useful to know.

    Cool...
    Thanks Chuckebaby and Antman!
I have a new love for CSC now, thanks to Scook! Really digging the quality of the sounds! ... and so many!
Yet, some of the patches are "empty"? As in, they are listed, but do not play. I can't remember whether it was D-pro or CSC that they were missing from...
