Sharing Midi Drivers

I recently purchased a vst based editor for my OB6 plus a stand-alone editor.  The stand alone is working fine.  The VST isn't.

I vaguely remember having this issue before, and the solution had to do with "sharing MIDI drivers"

I do not see that option under preferences.  Any ideas where it has gone to?

Thanks

You're thinking back to sharing Audio Drivers but the name of the setting has been changed. See the ezine for the latest release.

In what way do you want to share MIDI drivers?

I recently acquired a DSI OB-6.  I also bought the Sound Towewr editor/librarian software.  There is a stand alone version which works fine.  There is also a VST version, which would allow control of the front panel of the OB inside a DAW.  That is not working.  I have the settings the same (midi in/out channels...).

I thought I remembered some "Share Drivers" trick when I used to own a Poly Evolver.  But my memory aint what it used to be.

Maybe you're already way past this, in which case feel free to disregard. Replied just in case you're overlooking this.
How is the VST version configured in SONAR - (effect or instrument)? Normally inside the DAW, you would have to enable "Midi Out" from the VST itself (via the "VST2" or "VST3" button at the top of the interface) at least if it isn't automatically recognized as an instrument. If Midi Out is enabled, the VST should present a MIDI port specific for the VST. As far as using this outside of SONAR to talk to your OB, I'm afraid I can't help.
