MIDI input very suddenly not being received by synths.

Everything was working fine, then I installed a new plugin from Waves, the Audio Track v9 and suddenly I get NO sound when I use a synth of any kind withing SONAR.  Using Rapture Pro stand alone works fine.

Any ideas?

I should add that all the MIDI device connections appear to be the same as they were.  I'm no MIDI expert but it looks right.

I have to delete TTSSEQ.INI every time I run Sonar now... then re-choose my Midi Device under Midi/Devices. After that it works fine. Try that :)

Just check to make sure your devices are still there (In Preferences/Midi devices)
then check the routing on your tracks (Input/output).
Can you see midi activity in the track meters ?

Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB

I'll check into that when I get home from work, thanks.

That's the thing, I wasn't seeing anything coming from my keyboard.  But it IS coming into the computer since the stand alone version(s) work fine.  Very strange.

I was tired and a bit cranky last night so I plan to hit this again when I get home from work with a better outlook.  It's got to be something simple, right?

It all looks right.  Doesn't work if I select either a Single Instrument Track or a MIDI track and a separate audio output track.  It is simply not receiving input from my keyboard suddenly.  If I hit a pad on the Korg PAD Kontrol I have with the input set to All Inputs/Omni I get sounds.  Just not my keyboard.  The funny thing is that the keyboard works fine in Reason and when I use any of Cakewalk's synths in stand-alone mode.  Frankly, it's kind of pissing me off right now.

Ok, not that it's a hot topic but for anyone searching this in the future, I got it sorted.

Turns out that somehow (Lord knows how) the one Control Surface I had setup which was the Play/Stop/FF/RW keys on my Yamaha MO8 keyboard got the input set from MIDI port 4 to 1, so it must have been gobbling up the keystrokes.  Reset that to 4 and Boom, everything works again.
