CAN I IMPORT AND USE OLD SONAR PLUGS IN NEW SONAR VERSION?

Hey!
I'm a longtime Sonar user with multiple earlier versions, and am getting ready to build a new system and upgrade to the current version, and want to continue to use many of my Sonar  older plug-ins/effects.
How can I collect my older plugs from earlier versions, and import my older effects plugs into my new upgrade?
Thanks,
  DL

Run the advanced install option for the older versions of SONAR, this will let you select the components to install. The exception is V-Vocal. Installing V-Vocal requires a minimal install of the old version of SONAR. This option is in a drop down at the top of the component list shown during an advanced install

If you are running 64bit SONAR, some of the old DX plug-ins were not ported to 64bit. These plug-ins will not be available to 64bit SONAR. If you need these old plug-ins you will have to install 32bit SONAR. Both 32bit and 64bit SONAR may be installed on the same machine.

Although You don't need to install the actual programs to get most of the plugins, when I migrated to a new system with 64 bit Windows 10 I ended up installing each 32 and 64 bit version back to Home Studio 7XL because I found some plugins seem to only work in the actual version they were included with.

The older Sonars will run OK on Windows 10 but have proven to exhibit some minorly odd behaviors.

I also find that some projects open and operate better in the Sonar version they were last saved in.
