has anyone seen my metronome?

Downloaded the 07/17 release last night.  Mostly really good - but the metronome is not working.   I have it set for windows sounds. I also tried a midi note. Nada

I checked the windows sounds and it was NOT in "No Sounds" mode.  I have it set for 2 measure count in when I record.

She is gone.  If you know where to find her, please let me know.

I just did a quick test with 2017.7 ER and the metronome was fine.

Have you confirmed that the bus you have configured the metronome to send to is actually audible?

Promidi - I did indeed check.  I am at work now, but when I get home, I will check again.  I had the metronome routed to the master out.

It sounds like an old bug. Try clicking on the master FX on\off toggle in the control bar. That's what I do whenever this happens. A lot of other random problems have been eliminated on my system by deselecting the 64 bit double precision engine in preferences.

Yeah,
I second what ampfixer said.
I lost my metronome and found it under the FX toggle in the top console.
