RMEs are cool. I have a UCX. I wish I'd purchased the UFX.
With the UFX, you could run 8 channels into the UFX from the ADA8200.
You get 4 mix pres with input plus an additional 8 channels you provide the pres for... takes you to 20 including the ADA8200 channels.
You could also route 8 channels out of the O1V to to the UFX using optical (you'll have to be at 44.1 or 48 for the ADA8200).
This gives you 28 channels.
For mixing purposes, you could mix the 20 channels from the UFX and the ADA8200 together and send in 8 total channels to the O1V.
If you need to increase on the RME side, you can add 2 more UFX units that will all operate as one unit (you plug them into 3 distinct USB ports on the computer). So that will take you to 90 in 90 out if you need it. You can add UFX units one at a time, but the current limit is 3.
All the while, your inputs on the O1V will remain the same, so you may have to bus together drums using RME Total mix before sending them to the O1V for example.

I make some videos.
This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.
