Help with Autotheory Pro's Memory feature

Hi,
Despite the annoying driver signing issue, I bought a heavily discounted  AutoTheory Pro.
It isn't a plugin, but an app that sends midi to a daw.

It works fine in Generator and Editor Mode, but not in Memory Mode.

For this to work, it is said one has to remote map the transport buttons of AutoTheory.
I've looked at the Sonar documentation on remote control: I'm not sure I understand it.
In addition, it does not seem possible to remote control the global transport buttons (start stop record ..) of Sonar, and as far as I can see only the record button can be remote controlled in a track, not a play or stop button.

I've watched many videos on this product, including with other DAWs such as ProTools, but I think it's not pure chance that I can't find any other video with Memory in action.

Anybody sucessfully used AutoTheory's Memory feature ?
Or having an idea how I should go about configuring this transport sync between AutoTheory and Sonar ?

Here is the help I got from support but I am none the wiser:

1. In order to get the transport controls synchronized, you will assign the AutoTheory transport buttons in the same manner that you would with midi remote control from a midi controller.  This should help: [link=https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X3&language=3&help=Mixing.43.html]https://www.cakewalk.com/...mp;help=Mixing.43.html[/link]

2. The way that Memory works with our current version is less than ideal.  It is geared for when you have already recorded a chord progression, and you just want the melody lock to shift in the same manner as that recorded chord progression.  The chord memory has no chord output.

3. Basically you want to set it up to where pushing the transport controls in AutoTheory triggers the transport controls in Sonar.

Thanks,
Cedric
