Sonitus fx suite - corrupted/missing files?

I run Sonar Platinum version and use the sonitus fx suite, but recently I have not been able to access/insert Compressor or Gate effects. Error message states that they are missing or corrupt. Can I repair or reinstall these, if so how?

May also be an issue with some of the c++ libraries on your machine.

can you give any details on your installation? is everything installed to the default locations ?
Have you recently installed plug ins or changed settings in the Cakewalk\Sonar\VST folder

Unlike the older installers of yesteryear, Command Center doesn't allow you to re-install just the Sonitus effects separately (like you can with other effect bundles such as the Engineering FX Suite), but they are part of the basic SONAR install so you should be able to re-install SONAR and get them back.

Unless...if it's an old project that used the DX versions of the Sonitus plugins, then you'll have no choice but to replace them with the newer versions.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

The Sonitus plug-ins bundled with SONAR are still DX format. Cakewalk never bundled Sonitus in VST format with SONAR.

Hi guys, thanks for your thoughts - when I looked the .dll files for Gate and Compressor were missing from the Cakewalk default directory. No idea why they disappeared, the others are there reverb, eq etc. Fortunately I had backup copies of them, so copy and pasted them into the appropriate folders, and all seems to be working ok.

you need both .dll and  the .ini files..of all plugins in the [Shared Plugins] folder

And where was that default directory ?

    They are located in:
    C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Plugins
