    No.
    Switching from MC7 to Home Studio is not considered an upgrade path.  Music Creator was considered a standalone, consumer product while Home Studio is part of the Sonar family.
    Home Studio's standard price is $99 but it is presently on sale at $49.  Half price is a substantial savings.
