Help with loud recording change

Sorry the title is very vague. For some reason and I have no doubt it is something I did, the guitar tracks I record now are SUPER loud, yet the peak readouts in the track and everywhere else available are like -93? The rest of the project is bass, drums and keys. All reading out around -9 to -12. What the heck did I do? All are audio tracks.
Of course, I can adjust the levels while I record, but it's ridiculous to have to do that and so weird.
BTW, all sounds fine as I record. levels with recording tracks and live tracks are ok.
Thanks . It is the same setup I have used for the last 5 years anyway.....

Do you maybe have a pre-fader send in that track that goes somewhere loud?

See if you have a bunch of takes in hidden take lanes that are adding to the volume.

Try bypassing all of the effects as well.
verify that the loud channels are not routed elsewhere Like sending a signal to a guitar bus and then adding a send to the master bus.
