Blast from the past

I was interested to find a list of forum post editing codes and went to the APG vNext forum software website. Here's what I saw on the home page.

"We use this software for cakewalk.com, supporting 70,000 users and 2.5 million of posts. It has never let us down despite this heavy load and nearly constant usage."
Ron Kuper | Cakewalk.com

Anyway I didn't find any info but it must be available somewhere. I use an iPad for 99% of my forum use and you don't get the same formatting options as in the full browser version on a computer.

They're called "BB Codes", and there's a Wikipedia page for them.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

There are several differences in the forum between using Safari in iOS and Safari on a Mac, even when the iOS one is set to use the "desktop" site rather than the "mobile" one. Far too many site builders assume that an iPad or an Android/Windows tablet is a glorified phone not a full-fledged computer in its own right with browsers capable of doing almost anything a browser on a "traditional" platform can do (with some exceptions, e.g. no Flash in iOS).

Not only are many (almost all) of the post formatting options missing, so are sigs which defeats the copncept of putting the details of your DAW in a sig so others trying to assist you can see what you are using.

Most forums don't suffer those problems.
