best usage of track-, patch point- and bus output?

To be able to listen to individual parts I group for example my drums into 1 patch point. Each individual drum track can have processing in the track, processing can also be done on the patch point for the whole drums (or e.g. group of toms). For group effects I use sends to a bus were the hall, plate or room effects sit. It is easy to solo the track, it will include the bus effects when listening.

My issue; when I solo the patch point, I don't get the output from the effects on the respective bus. Why is that? Behaviour to me seems not in line with the track solo. I understand that in that case recording the track input on an aux/patch point would only be possible with the option to swith off the bus processing of the respective tracks.

Any better routing options? It should give me the option to listen to the track/including track fx, the patchpoint/including track and patchpoint fx or the bus (that unfortunately does not include the sends to other buses)?
