How to use Z3TA+2 as an effect for another virtual instrument or is this possible?

How to use Z3TA+2 as an effect for another virtual instrument or is this possible?

I have loaded Z3TA+2 as an effect on a track with the PLAY interface from SoundsOnline loaded into the track and an Orchestral Strings patch loaded. If I disable Z3TA+2, then I can hear the samples being played when I use my keyboard, but there is no sound when Z3TA+2 is enabled.
 
I did open the VST Plug-In Properties dialog and checked Configure as temp-based effect in the Z3TA+2, but this had no effect.
 
Anyone have any insight as to how I might do this?

    Not possible with z3ta+2. z3ta+ classic includes FX versions.
