Morning Glorys and Moles
Still love the Morning Glory flower (Ipomea sp)
Has all the mystic, transcendental aspects in its nature, poetic stuff and the like.
Flower blooms and opens at dawn, follows the sun. Heart shaped leaves as in the heart and love. Seeds, a powerful LSD hallucinogen, gateway to possible other worldly experience if you got the balls to put up with the first couple hours. Gracefully entwines around its host in a love embrace for support and mutual dependence.
Last aspect driving me nuts right now trying to weed out the damn things before they choke out everything.
Then the recent mole invasion. They infested over night and are turning my yard and the neighbors into Swiss cheese. Don't want to kill the little bastards, but nuked all their holes and paths with a zinc pellet overdose claimed to send them into the next world. Easier than an advised coffee can technique, humane complex strategy to trap them and set them free in your other neighbor's yard. Guess I failed the compassion test.
Any advice on Morning Glory and mole control?
