Take splits whenever I edit a fade?

Since the update to 23.7.0 whenever I add a fade to the start or end of a take it splits the take at end point of a start fade or vise versa on and end fade.

Is this expected behaviour? It seems like I've engaged some kind of edit mode I haven't used before. It's super annoying and I'd like to turn it off.

Edit: Is it something to do with "Select track envelopes with clips"?

I don't completely understand what you are experiencing, maybe an image of what you see could be uploaded? I have seen some strangeness when using take lakes and comping so I would not be surprised if something unexpected/un-intended is happening. You could submit a problem report as well.

Hey Reginald, thanks for the reply.

I am thinking I may have recorded overlapping takes somehow, it seems like there were two takes stacked on top of eachother in the one takelane. I managed to get it working as expected, I'm not sure if I had a brain melt or if there is some change to the workflow recently that I need to figure out.

If it happens again I'll try and document it more carefully and establish if it's truly an issue that needs to be reported.
