i cant get my software to work!

so i had my softare uninstalled for a while and recently i tried installing it again, and after i did, i reset my comp, and ran cakewalk, and now i can open a new project, but it doesnt display the mix scree, just gray and if i hit record and play it has an error and closes cakewalk. What the heck is going on???!! I cant even play onld projects, although i can see them in edit. What is going on?!

    For some reason Cakewalk no longer recognizes your soundcard. Go to Audio/Options and re-test it. That should take care of the problem.
