plug-in loose their settings

I'm thinking others are experiencing this but my Waves and now Altiverb plugins are forgetting their settings when I open projects where they reside (it's quite random and has been happening for quite some time, other plugs too).  Is there a thread that addresses this (I hope:-)).
Please tell me that there was a bad release that screwed everything up and that it is fixed:-)

Well, my IZOTOPE DDLY just lost its authorization under Sonar. It is ILok-authorized and the license is still active as shown in the iLok Manager. In Sonar, it's in DEMO mode for some reason. The plug-in puts up a request to authorize it but it comes back as "already authorized" and remains in DEMO mode (that sucks!). Yes, I agree, something seems to be hosed up with the plug ins.

Based on the number of problems I'm having with 2017.07, I might have to roll back - can't seem to get anything done.

If you're using an iLok version before v3.1.6, you need to update. Happened to a lot of people yesterday using iLok protected plugs, no matter what DAW host.

My issues are not ilock based.  Any other thoughts?  Actually a bit disappointed others aren't experiencing this.  I don't always take the Sonar updates because I don't want to "f#$K" anything up when a deadline approaches.  But if there was a bug in an earlier update that screwed up the way plugin set parameters are recorded (for example) I may pay the price down the road.  (just my naive debugging thoughts here...)
