Calkewalk's annual song contest (proposal)

I don't know, my be I am not the first with such a proposal, but what about starting an annual international song contest by Cakewalk?

I am familiar with CW since late 90th and it always was an innovative company, which takes care of image projects.

The concept of the contest could pursue 2 goals:
1. To increase the popularity of CW among the authors or performers of songs, who practice home (small studio) recording
2. To promote the talented songwriters or singers with the possibility of future collaboration in advertising CW among their fans and followers

The contest could be realized in 2 nomination: own songs and covers. Only demo-versions recorded in CW are accepted.

The evaluation of the songs could be made by a special jury from CW and the members of CW forum (50 / 50).

The criteria:
1. The message of the song (own songs only)
2. The musical part of the song (own songs only)
3. The lyrics of the song (own songs only)
4. The arrangement of the song
5. The performance of the song
6. The mixing of the song
7. The hit potentiality of the song

The prize for the winner of the contest could be recording of his (her) single or EP and organization of  his (her) live performance in Boston.

If you support the idea, please write it in this thread. Who knows, may be it will attract the attention of administration of CW.

PS. Somebody may tell me, that I make this proposal to promote my own songs. Even if it is so - why not?! I like the fair competition and it is not a tragedy for me to lose if there is a chance to win... :)

Count me out.
I try to avoid any competitiveness in art.
Someone else rating my message, arrangement, or performance, would likely just make me argumentative.

Hi,

Since the criteria is the same as it has been for 50 years of rock music ... count me out!

I was ready to put together a nice slap of tickle and rump and sound effects with a fake bass guitar and disjointed and backwards guitar in it, until the list of the crap ... made me throw up!

Just another song ... the same as all the other songs ... sounding the same as before ...

When will it EVER stop?

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!
