Komplete Kontrol 49 As A Midi Controller

Took ages but I finally got to get my Komplete Kontrol keyboard to run as a midi controller. Trouble is, every fourth or fifth time I open Sonar, it no longer recognises it as a midi controller and I have to run through the set again. My frail mind forgets the details of how to do it each time and I have to source the internet for clues. Has anyone else had this problem (not the frail mind bit) and, if so, have you found a permanent solution so that Sonar does not forget as often as I do?

I should refine my enquiry. I had set up my Komplete Kontrol as a simple control surface using the Azslow preset. When it works, it works well. But, as I mentioned, after four or five sessions, the next time I load Sonar, it doesn't work. All the settings are the same in Preferences, nothing has changed there.

Try a different USB port. There are so many things sharing USB resources that you may have to be thoughtful in how things are connected. Between my USB iLok, trackball, S88, interface, and PC keyboard, there can easily be conflicts if I don't plug things in a certain way. Also, make sure you do not have power-saving mode enabled for your USB bus.

Thanks dcumpian for the advice. I have everything plugged in the same way each time. I understand that USB resources may be distributed differently with each boot up but I am not sure that this is the issue here.
