Thanks man. At least, I hope "I got chills" doesn't mean you're sick in bed with nothing better to do! If that's the case, try echinacea tea. Otherwise, sincere thanks, man.

Are you really Canadian?  How is that possible with that voice?

I've heard this song many, many times over the years, and I've played it in my own bands back in the day.  Yet, I still enjoy hearing a good version of this, and you captured my attention right away.  Your voice is terrific, so I'd still like to hear it up db or two.  However, the way you treated this shows much respect for the original, and my hat's off to you.

All the best,
Lynn

You just can't go wrong when you start with a good tune. My band still has not accepted Drift Away for inclusion in our songlist, but I think I'm wearing the guitarist down. Next up: another old favorite, Radar Love. That should really challenge my drum programming skills, assuming I can pull it off at all.

Very cool song.

Man I love the big fat band sound you have going on.... that B3 certainly makes that possible.

I had a hard time picking out the horns.

Vox.... could stand to come up a bit but it's rock. Yeah those early morning vocal sessions are really sweet. While there's still a ragged edge to the cords.... another nice window of opportunity exists when there's a sore throat coming on. Cords stretch a bit, apparently, and have that rough edge to them.... just as long as they don't go totally out.

Yeah, all around good job Dave.

Yeah, I've always liked the song and I thought your take was very good - lots of feel, great arrangement, and your 5:00 vocal fits like a glove.

While this may be song that would be selected for a karaoke performance there is a great deal of difference between karaoke and a well done performance of a great song. Very nice production and vocals. Your band should definitely add this to the set list.
