How to have a "clean" view of a midi track

Hello everyone. Firstly I clarify that I use the Google translator to express myself here, since my language is Spanish.
The doubt I have, is that when I double click on one of the "layers" of a track midi, the vision I get from it is all the more confusing the greater the number of layers that compose it, and I wonder how to do it so that only I show the graphic of that single layer, to be able to modify the data midi with simplicity and clarity.
Before it was called "layer", now I think they have changed the name, but I hope I understand. I think they are called "lanes". (I also wonder why they have been renamed).
A warm greeting to all and thanks for any help!

To restrict what the PRV displays, mute all clips in the track except the ones to display and enable "Hide Muted Clips" in the View menu of the PRV
