So it looks as though I was under an incorrect assumption.

It seems that for quite some time SONAR has been reporting that I had over 2100 plugins installed. I had been doubting that number even though that has what I have claimed I had on this and the Mixbus forum.

Well, for an entirely different reason I decided it was time to do a clean install of all my Waves stuff.

After that I have 1704 plugins reported by SONAR. That seems more reasonable. And based on the numbers it would appear that somehow I was getting double the count on Waves plugins. FYI: I did not change anything about the way or where I install my Waves plugs. I simply did a full uninstall and then installed them all as if I never had them before.

AFAIK SONAR is the only DAW I own that reports the number of plugins it found so I do not know what my other DAWs were doing when scanning.

I'm not blaming SONAR but I'm also not sure what caused the screw up.

I get that as well.  It seems that the waveshell gets scanned twice...probably in two different locations...VST and VST3.

Where you come from is gone...where you thought you were goin to weren't never there...and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it.

I am seriously disappointed now.  You have stepped onto a lower pedestal.  However, I have regained hope for catching you some day, only 1,445 left to go.

I may move one closer, if I am ever recognized by IK as owning SVX, with seven registered installs left.

Which means that I really only have about 1300 (also minus any other VST2/VST3 double installs, AVOX EVO for one).

I wish Mixbus would support VST3, then I would not have to do the double installs.

I gotta say I think it is way cool how hard you work mixbus.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

As a mixing environment I love it.

As a DAW (record, edit, operate in MIDI) not so much.
