Aim assist movement jerky when many controller events in a track

I have Sonar Platinum 2017.8 build 30 and I have just noticed something.

When I have many controller events in a MIDI track and I am hovering my mouse over the controller lane of that MIDI track and the PRV, the Aim assist line becomes very jerky for that track.  When I have only a few controller events in the same MIDI track, or I have hovering over the note pane, the Aim assist line is as smooth as.

What I have tried so far.

Reinstalled my Nvidia drivers using the latest drivers and using the clean install option
Rebooted PC (See signature for specs)
Started with a fresh project with one MIDI track only
Confirmed that snap and PRV snap is disabled.

Problem persists.

Just wondering if any one else can confirm or is having the same issue.
