Send START command via MIDI to BK7m Roland module arranger

Hi All,

sorry for my inexperience, I have a Roland BK7m arranger module connect with a USB cable to PC (win10) with Cakewalk Sonar.
I would like to send the START signal to the instrument and then the STOP at a precise point of the midi track.
On BK7m manual I found that for send a START command with MIDI interface (USB cable) I must use these commands:

System Realtime Messages -> Status: FAH

I noticed that in the midi track I can include events (example: Notes, Sysx Bank, Controller, Sysx Data, Patch Change ...). I tried them (FA) all but I can not send START. Definitely something wrong.

Would you help me?

Thank you

    Hi All,

I executed another test, I used a MIDI-OX software and try to send only sysex "FA" command and the instrument work well (execute a START) and after I sent only "FC" (STOP) sysex command and the instrument work well.

On Sonar I noticed that I can send only the Midi SysEx that start with "F0" and end with "F7".

How can I only send the "FA" command?

    Thank you
