URL of the Korg keyboard with mini keys that has rhodes, piano sounds -
I could have sworn there was a Korg keyboard that has micro-keys that has bread and butter rhodes, wurlitzer, pads, organ, comping, clavinet sounds. All I can find when I do a search is the synth version that is used for analogue modelling. Am I dreaming? I saw a guy using one at a major concert once -nice sounds -very small - for adding an extra keyboard to your rig or something you can carry around easily. This is quite a few years back and maybe I wouldn't be happy with the sound but I can't even find it now -I keep coming up with the synth version. Maybe it wasn't Korg? Maybe it was another life?

I think you may mean the Microstation? Don't think it had mini keys but it was compact and there was basically a Triton engine inside.

Korg Microstation and there's a simular thing called Novastation.
but they are small synthesizers iic.

Are you sure the sounds you heard were internal? Could have been driving almost anything with it.
If gear was the determining factor, we would all have a shelf full of Grammies and a pocket full of change. -microapp i7, 32gb RAM, Win10 64bit, RME UFX

The MicroKorg is the synth one although I think one of the "XL" revisions had a few basic ROMpler sounds (or at least wavetable synthesis). I can't think of any with mini keys that had a true ROMpler engine, and I've used/owned like 6 modern Korg synths.

so, maybe he was using the microkorg as a controller only because the shape of the keyboard looks the same. I always thought there was one that size that had the triton engine in it but i guess not.

I got two titles mixed up before, the MicroStation does have mini keys but more octaves making it significantly wider. It has an M50 engine. But there is also the Micro X which has a similar size to the MicroKorg but normal size keys (25 of them) and a Triton core. Maybe that's what you mean?
