One thing that stood out to me was the string noise from the guitar. It's too much. Tell the guitarist to use better technique,i.e lift finger off string before changing positions. It's also too loud in the mix.

Sax could come a bit as well. Other than that, the levels seem about right.

Another way to stop string noise is to turn one's fretboard hand sideways to the neck before moving.  The sound is made by those little indentations (callouses) in the fretting hand.

Apart from what dc and eph said, a nice easy listening piece.
    Nice.

    Hi Eric,

I wouldn't normally listen to jazz/blues so I'm not best qualified to express thoughts on mixing/eq and what have you.

I stuck with this piece though and I actually quite enjoyed the experience. Perhaps I should listen to more jazz/blues

    cheers

Thanks everyone for the insights!  I appreciate you taking the time to give it a listen.
The string noise on this tune has been a real challenge.
The chords are played on a 24 fret 4 string bass with round wound strings.
I have done a lot of editing and EQing, but it's obviously still too much.
It's a real challenge keeping enough definition to discern the chords while getting rid of the finger noise.
It's really a fun part to play, so I've been doing my best to keep this part....
May be time to find a more drastic solution.
