Looking For A Tutorial on Step Recording [SOLVED]

I give up. Who's hiding the tutorial for how to step record in Sonar? Not in the forums (that I could find). Not on YT.

I'm talking specifically about step recording piano music, not sequential patterns. No matter what I try, Sonar won't record the MIDI keyboard input.

Outstanding! I never thought to look at the X2 tutorials, but I guess they still apply in many areas.

It seems a bit dated to me, am I wrong on this ?
Using the piano Roll view is a lot faster and easier. I don't know maybe im wrong.
It always appealed to me like it was a lost function that was left in sonar for die hards that worked this way.
I used to years ago with the old drum machines, step recording was the norm, as was realtime.
