Problem with quicktime

Hi guys

Ive been asked to do a project that involves scoring to a student video. He has sent me the .mov file and Sonar imports it but there isnt any picture shown. There are thumbnails and ive clicked animate but its just not playing.

Does anyone have any ideas what Im doing wrong?

Cheers

Are you using Sonar 64bit?  According to sonar Help "Apple has yet to release QuickTime for Windows x64, so QuickTime import/export is not yet supported"

What you might want to do is find a way to convert to MOV file to something else, like AVI, Mpg or a WMV file

Windows 10 64bit fully patched, 16 gig ram .
PCR-800 Controller.  (Working in Win 10 1809 64bit)
CPU: i5 4670.
Video: Nvidia GTX560ti (latest drivers).
Audio IF: Focusrite 2i2 2nd Gen

Internet always on.

Software
: Cakewalk by Bandlab (2018.09 B29)
ASIO mode. 24bit 48khz 256 samples
Rapture Pro, AAS GS2, VS-3, EP-4, VA-2, Chromophone 2, Z3TA+ 2, Addictive drums 2, Addictive Keys, Mpowersynth (latest), Iris 2, GPO5, Sampletank 3,

Apple has deprecated Quicktime for Windows and has suggested that ALL Windows users uninstall QT. No BS. It will never be updated/upgraded. You'll need to convert it. Take a look at:

Also a huge malware and virus magnet as it's security weakness is the main problem and reason why Apple no longer supports it will n Windows.

On a side note with QT.  I have "Discus" a (very good) program to create CD labels and Jewel Case inserts.  It requires QT and the author, from correspondence, isn't going to rewrite it to use something other than QT.  I'm looking for a new CD/Jewel Case program.

I used CD Stomper in the past, but now use Roxio's Creator NXT for labels, cd case inserts and such.

Win 10 Pro x64, 32Gb DDR3 ram, Sonar Platinum, Cubase 9.5, Mackie MCU Pro, Cakewalk VS 100, Roland Octa-Capture,  A 800 Pro, Carver M-1.5t amp & C4000 pre amp, various mics, drums and brass instruments.

And away we go!
