Could not open file. The file may be damaged or incompatile with this version of SONAR

OK, I found a shoebox full of 3.5" floppies that had old cakewalk files on them, we are talking 1992 to 2003 range.  Someone made a fabulous matrix of which plugins work with which version of sonar.  Does anybody have a success path of how to open an old WRK, BUN, etc. file and save it to the latest.

I'm pretty capable with the manipulation stuff, but if someone has already started chewing on this, well it would be nice if you can share.  My thoughts range from an converter outside of SONAR; a virtual Windows (XP, DOS) running an old version of Cakewalk, twelve tone); or some other solution.

Thanks in advance!

Seems Sonar 6 was the last version that could do this.
I still have 6 and I'm sure many here still do so there will be a way to do this.
