Impact Soundworks Momentum

Organic Percussive Sound Design!

MOMENTUM is a library designed for soundtrack composers and producers looking for fresh and inspiring new rhythms. To create the collection of 2,500+ loops, we recorded over 100 unique instruments and kits, from booming mistreated bass drums to brushed hand percussion and tonal strikes.

What sets Momentum apart is that all these loops are unique and organic. They are not processed electronic or synthetic sounds, traditional percussion, or epic loops. They offer something fresh in every frequency range.

Our Loop Designer patch lets you edit and tweak each performance or morph them in totally new ways. We created extensive performance controls such as instant tuning and live MIDI-triggered FX (reverse, stutter, chop, shuffle) to give you even more instant inspiration.

If you want the fastest possible access to sounds, check out the Loop Mapper, where you can assign up to 5 octaves of loops across your keyboard. Or, perform any of the individual multisampled instruments: over 120 in total, including both unpitched percussion and chromatic tonals.

Momentum is available now for $149 in Kontakt 5.5 format (full version), with sliced REX/WAV files also included. We know it will become an essential part of your template!

VSTBuzz has a 10% discount coupon at Impact Soundworks.  Not sure if it works on this product, but it did for the last thing I bought from them.

Playing with this now...it's a blast.

What you get is 2,500 human-performed percussion loops made with all kinds of things from the mundane to the exotic, neatly sliced up and completely programmable. Super-easy to sequence volume, pan, filters and modulators for each loop slice. Keyswitches to transpose and apply effects. MIDI notes determine where in the loop playback starts.

Now, I'm normally NOT a loop guy. But this is more fun than a barrel o' slapped cellos.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Caewalk's Momentum may be cheaper but I suspect it will not be as good.
