Grouping midi notes into sections

There must be a way to do this that I can't find but I don't do much midi stuff.
I have entered a chorus and I'd like to select the it, group it and name it chorus so I can easily paste in that group of notes as one entity. I thought select and right click and group but that ain't there. Groups are common to most other computer collections of data... what's the trick in sonar?
Thanks!

Sounds like a job for Ripple editing to me, Have you tried it yet? It's intended to break the songs into pieces you can move around. I have yet to try it but I'm looking forward to this long awaited feature as in the past re arranging even a simple midi 6 track song was a pita.

Ripple edit is great if you have the whole thing entered and want to move things around.
This is more like having a pallet of phrases that can be dropped in to create the song.
Or a better example is in a drawing program where you have one group shapes that represents an object and you can select that entire object by clicking anywhere on the object.

I would just select those notes and bounce them to clip.  Then just drag/copy it wherever needed.
My Markers tell me which is a chorus and which isn't.

Or if they are already in a long clip split the clip into the sections you want. Name the clips using the inspector and then drag, copy, loop or whatever you want.

    +1 Clips
    +1 then Ripple editing

I cant really add anything that's been said here.
But you don't want to use groups. that's meant for multiple clip/track editing functions.
you want a midi clip with all your data in it. = A midi clip.

As John just mentioned, I typically create a Verse/Bridge/Chorus then bounce those clips all together.
Once I have a solid clip, I split at markers (which is Verse/Bridge/Chorus markers).
Then bounce to clips those smaller sections / or split destructively.

Don't confuse bounce to clips with Bounce to tracks. they are not even close.
One heals clip fragments, the latter mixes to Audio.
