Sound On Sound review of MIDIGuitar 2
The latest issue of Sound On Sound has a really good/interesting review of MIDIGuitar v2.2.1 and the currently included MIDIBass v1.2.1. The linked page only shows the first bit of the review. SOS want money, of course. https://www.soundonsound....m-origin-midi-guitar-2

Hi I read that review and just downloaded and tried the Bass version but it is limited (nag screen etc) Still reasonably impressive though. Has anyone purchased Jam Origin 2 and if yes, how you getting on with it - I have had for many many years a Roland GR33 which, well I suppose its OK but you really have to know how to play it (slowly!!) Hi Nigel, I've been using Jam Origin Midi Guitar since the early Beta days and as a guitar player, IMO this is the best $100 I've spent.......especially being a non-keyboardist. The tracking and responsiveness is excellent. There's a bunch of really good threads in here (Software) with some great tips on setting up. Support is also excellent from the developer. Regarding sales, I haven't ever seen the price change from $99 since it came out. Highly recommended......

I find the tracking in Jam Origin 2 much better than my much older GR33 and my GR55. Much less editing in the resultant midi files with Jam Origin 2. I would think Jam Origin 2 will pretty much make something the GR55 obsolete!

I picked up Midi Guitar when the first beta version came out. I was completely blown away by it. Since then it's only gotten better. I can not recommend it enough. Rocky

On this forum, at least, it's for a quality product. Except for Lars, of course. He posts EVERYTHING!

If you are a guitarist looking to open up a whole new world...I cannot recommend it highly enough. I had YouRock guitar before and it was pretty good, but to be able to play the guitar of your choice and track this well takes everything to the next level.
I was only turned onto it by the recent SOS review; I trust Paul White's words and I am not disappointed.

Good luck to you I hope you enjoy your new midi guitar journey The song of mine that you left a comment on over at the songs forum would have not been possible if I didn't have midi guitar Kenny
