[Solved] L-Phase Equalizer V1.0.3.70 problem

L-Phase Equalizer VST3 plugin is causing dropped midi notes - no artifacts - when playing back an imported Format 1 midi file.
VST2 plugin used is Garritan ARIA Player v1.872. ARIA Instrument loaded is Steinway Basic.
System details are: Win 10 Pro 64-Bit, i7 CPU 2.93 GHz 64-bit 32% utilized, Memory 8.00GB 36% utilized.
Appears to be excessive processing latency.
Setting the ASIO buffer size to Max (2K buffer) improves things a bit but doesn't fix the problem.
Anyone else experienced this, have any idea what the problem really is and how to fix it?

Dropped MIDI notes is the result of too small a "Prepare Using nnn Millisecond Buffers" setting in Preferences > MIDI > Playback and Recording from 250 to 500 or 750. Some need a higher value.

Solved. Related thread "L-Phase EQ makes notes disappear" explains all and how to fix.
I did search for "L-Phase EQ" before posting, honestly!

Forum search engine? Not so good.
    Google? That works.

For example, type (or copy and paste), without the quotes: "site:forum.cakewalk.com L-Phase EQ" and see the difference.

Another thing to be wary of with linear phase plugins is that they will induce latency with their look ahead buffer.  If you are doing real time tracking, with an external instrument, or using virtual instruments, you will want to bypass the linear phase algorithm (set the precision to non-linear).

In a recent update, Cakewalk has added a group of mixing presets to their LP plugins that bypass linear processing by default.

The mastering presets have the linear precision enabled.

I discovered this the hard way.
