Keeps getting better and better, but $319 is still too rich for me. I've never paid more than 50 bucks for a piano.

Well, except for the real one in my living room, anyway. That one cost more than my first four cars combined, and took 8 years to pay off!

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Pianoteq Blüthner and Grotrian are quite nice.

Sounds awesome.  I got the Stage version at Sweetwater for $115.

It has a good feel and takes way less time to load than Keyscape or NI Kontakt.  Also based primarily on Steinway although there are others.

How does it differ from the old Garritan professional Steinway?

I couldn't really say as I don't have the Garritan version.  If you are considering, I do know they offer a trial and you can compare and contrast.
For me, it's been a welcome addition to my piano arsenal.

I purchased it a few weeks ago.  Sound is excellent, though probably not the best, but it's really about the responsiveness, which is unequaled by any other keyboard VST I have tried.
(And hey, it's great that it loads in just a few seconds, but that's not the reason to get it.)
