can only record 1 track with Komplete Kontrol

So this just started happening, I am wondering if I accidentally hit a key or setting.
 
I load my project with Maschine and KK as usual.
I record the first track in KK ( i record audio tracks not MIDI).
I have recording setup to looped and create new tracks when it reaches the end. I usually just delete whatever got recorded  on the next track and then arm the newly created track.
 
Well now I am unable to record on a second track. I see the input, The input setting is the same on both tracks, just nothing gets recorded. 
I tried cloning the original track and recording on the cloned track but have the same problem.
I see the red waveform you normally see when its recording, but once I hit stop it dissapears.
 
any ideas?
 
Note - this also persists in any old projects as well that were functioning fine.
