Track Arpeggiator bounce does not render new midi

Using Sonar Platinum 2017.08, I can't get the track arpeggiator to render arpeggiated midi notes when I bounce to clip (note: this track arpeggiator, not the FX pane arpeggiator).  When I bounce to clip, it's merely a duplicate of the original midi notes, and track arpeggiator is turned off.

I have tried lots of different combinations of settings.  The only thing that somewhat works is to set my midi track midi channel to Omni and set the arpeggiator midi channel to All.  This does bounce to arpeggiated midi notes BUT creates 16 instances of each note layered on top of each other, and so it is unusable.

This used to work fine on my system but I have not used the feature for a few years, so I don't when it became a problem.

Thanks
