Gain/Metering in Sonar

Hi, I'm a little confused about metering in Sonar.
Check out following steps:
1. Put from AudioTracks/Backing Tracks the 126 Heavy Shuffle Track into a new empty Audio Project
2. Start play: In my Sonar PL(latest update) the Peak in the track lane is +2.7 db, in Master Lane is +6.8 db. All Faders are at 0, Gain also at 0.
3. When i open that Heavy Shuffle Track in Soundforge, the peak is 0 and RMS -10.3 db.
I don't know why it is in Sonar such high level.
 
Could someone explain me, please?

So i checked it, no FX, only one Track, one Master Bus without FX. I tried 16 bit, 24 bit and 32 bit, i tried to use another interface with a different driver. Tried other files from Backing Tracks directory. Nothing! All the same.
The fu..... Meter shows always more that 0 db up to +2.7 db in the red area.
 
Please could someone check this on own machine?

Try it on a blank project, inserting just one track, one bus and route the OUTPUT of the track to the bu. Bus output to Main Outs (interface)

I do this and all peaks on Track, Bus and Main Out are at max. +2.7 db, you're right.
 
But why is the peak level in sonar with that files more than 0 db ???
The same file in wavelab or soundforge brings max. 0 db !
I'm confused.

Are you 100% sure there's nothing in the chain with Soundforge or Wavelab?

Yes, I'm sure. You can check it with any wav-file from Backing Tracks directory. Sonar's peak view is higher that soundforge etc. I read in another tread, sonar shows about 3db more because of AES?
The simple solution is to turn the gain to -3db.

But i can't understand it, why in sonar the file clips (SPAN show clippings) and when i load it in soundforge or wavelab there's no clipping and peak at 0 db.
