I've been gone for 2 years
The last four or five years, I've gone through some heavy stuff. I had a civil relationship with the community and in the forums. When I left off, I had asked a few questions and never checked back to see if there were responses. Anyway, I just want to say thanks to those who have helped and are helping me. I've solved all my problems with a JR built computer. And an RME FF 800.
I'm getting back into it, and I'm more able to solve problems. Cheers.

I really have gotten way more from the forum than I've been able to give...But I have some pretty way out musical ideas, and I'm starting to apply myself again, to producing...something...whatever is fun.

Indeed. It's too bad...I'm a guitar player, and I've been lamenting the status of retail guitar sales...They're just not there anymore, on the wall, loud and proud. Someone brings one out in a case ...after sitting there for a year and a half...and the first thing that goes through my mind when I play it is, "Can I fix this thing...?".
It's not just Gibson either. But yeah, if you look around the country at guitar shops where you can take a Hummingbird off the wall and play it, they're just not there.

My condolences, I have no idea how that would feel, not something I would like to experience, and am often glad I never had children, I just know how I feel loosing a pet ( remain pet less now days), couldn't imagine a child. Not sure if you could say there is a light at the end of the tunnel, maybe a dim glow perhaps, but as they say life goes on, and not knowing your situation, it could be best for yourself and any others close to you to struggle on and upwards as much as possible. You'll never fill the hole, but what else can you do? Good Luck and all the best

I didn't know Cakewalk was owned by Gibson...I thought they were part of Roland or Steinberg....but it doesn't make much difference to me. I've heard all kinds of raves about other programs, but I've been using Cakewalk for almost 25 years, and the only limitations I can see are borne by the computer itself. And Windows.
