Theme Editor - Timeline Ruler Digits
I hope you can help me. I'm using the Theme Editor to try to change the colors for the time ruler. First, let's ensure I'm targeting the right object, and what I'm referring to is the ruler at the top horizontal section of the track view that identifies what measure I'm on, and also shows markers and the looping section with a default yellow line and flags. I would like to change the color of the tick marks and digits. I've been able to successfully change the background color, which is now light grey but when I select red for these items they remain black: Track View Time Ruler Digits Time Ruler Tick Marks Am I selecting the correct components in the theme editor? Has anyone else been able to change the colors of these?

Those are the correct Theme Editor entries. Did you save the changes as a new theme file, then load the new theme under Edit > Preferences > Customization - Themes?

Morten, thanks for the response, and I did indeed save a new theme file and load this new theme through the preferences. I even changed to a different theme and reloaded the one I edited after I verified that the Track View Time Ruler Digits and Time Ruler Tick Marks were my new color (red) and they still show up as black. I also checked the Command Center and it seems I'm running the latest version of the Theme Editor, which is 1.1.0.23, is that correct?

It works for me. Try changing all 8 colors for the time ruler to green and see if they change. ***It would be nice if you could select a group of colors and change them all at once instead of individually.***

Soens, I don't see 8 color options for the time ruler, all I see are The ruler background Track View Time Ruler Digits Time Ruler Tick Marks I did try changing all of them and the only one that changes is the ruler background.

Yes, 1.1.0.23 is the current version of Theme Editor. As a test, are you able to make other temporary changes to the theme that are reflected in SONAR? Is the theme selected in SONAR when you are attempting to save it in Theme Editor? If so, either close SONAR, or temporarily select another theme. If you close and reopen the theme in Theme Editor, are the modified colors persisted? To make sure you are loading the correct theme, verify the "Modified" date/time in the Preferences dialog box.

Maybe a lens setting is interfering with themes.

Perhaps a color scheme in Preferences / Colors is overriding your Theme. Tick marks and digits can definitely be customized there.

The color theme is saved with the lens. So when you open a project the colortheme from the lense is loaded - probably you load every time the old unchanged theme. You can manage the lenses to not load themes.

I figured this out, somehow the colors in preferences were over riding the theme for the digits. When I changed the colors to "Normal" and then reloaded the theme the time ruler digits and tick marks changed to what I set in the theme. Thanks all for the help, and perhaps this thread will help someone in the future.

I was including the 5 Markers colors but they are irrelevant. Glad you sorted it out.
