Sonar X3 - sending CC93 (1-3) to Roland jp-08

Hi,

i want to enable the hidden chorus on the jp-08 which means sending CC93 value 1 (for example) to the boutique. While searching in this forum, i learned that it should be (of course) quite possible to do this, but i can't get it to work.

What i'm trying:

on the track/midi-channel that has my jp08 on it, i enter "event list" mode and insert a "controller" at MBT 1:01:000 (orange text saying "control". The data portion is set to "93" and the value is set to "1".

Expecting the switch to be audible when playing this track, i can't hear any difference at all. What do i do wrong?

Don't know about your JP, but in many synths the internal controls and mixer override MIDI instructions. You may need to enable the chorus on the synth first, and then the MIDI values will adjust its wet/dry ratio. I'd refer to the synth's documentation for clues. Yeh, I know, Roland documentation isn't that great, but it's still better than Yamaha's.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Is the event of the CC93 1 event set to the correct MIDI channel? Or even better is the MIDI channel of the MIDI track itself (as set in inspector) set to the correct MIDI channel.

It's a shame that Roland made this a hidden feature.
