Console 1 failing to load in SPLAT

Has anyone seen this before it's just started to happen on both my PC's.
The only MIDI device connected is Console 1 in SONAR Platinum. RAM is at 18% of 32GB but I now get the error message:
MIDI Device Failure
The following MIDI port(s) could not be enabled.

The port(s) will remain unchecked in MIDI Device preferences

Hi. I haven't seen this before. Have you tried disconnecting it, reboot, and re connect. I had to do that after the "Creators Update" in Win 10, IIRC.
My Console 1 keeps authorizing itself in the background on occasions. It doesn't cause any issues with the plugins, or its settings.
Not sure if it helps of not.
I'm not sure where the "fault" lies.
I silently keep blaming Windows for many of the quirks that pops up
All the best.

None of the above seems to work have raised ticket with Softube in any case.
By the way next Windows build will probably drop next month as the preview release is now out to slow ring and my Test PC is about to install it next time I load it, nice Christmas present from Microsoft....

Okay there is one configuration that can cause this issue unfortunately it's not mine.
Here is solution from Softube:
"I have re-created your issue here, but under some very specific circumstances which I would like to check with you: are you running Google Chrome?

Turns out that the default setting in Chrome is to access whichever MIDI port is available!

If this is the case, please do the following:

1. In chrome navigate to 'Settings > Advanced Settings > Content Settings'.
2. Locate the 'MIDI devices full control' section.
3. Enable the 'Do not allow any sites to use system exclusive messages to access MIDI devices' option.I have re-created your issue here, but under some very specific circumstances which I would like to check with you: are you running Google Chrome?

Thanks, werewindle
Good tip. I didn't know that Chrome had access to MIDI.
All the best.

Next solution for drive installation fails applicable to DELL PC's. The timeout value in the registry is to small to allow USB driver to install.
Workaround is to increase the timeout value in the Registry see below:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\DeviceInstall\Settings]
"InstallTimeout"=dword:00000708

Have now proved driver is working and issue resides in Console 1 Display application so it's back with Softube

This thread should be moved to the Software forum!

Another Softube customer has same issue and it has been proved it is not solely a SONAR problem.

Magix Vegas Pro does not like Softube, either. It crashes while trying to load Softube plugins. I had to put them in another folder. My Sonar sees the other Softube plugins. I don't have Console.

I can move the thread but I thought Console 1 was a piece of hardware. Granted the problem may be in the software included with it but that may be the case with any hardware.

Its not a hardware issue anymore and unfortunately it's a SONAR software issue.

In light of recent news I purchased Studio One Professional at a very reasonable price yesterday and although mostly working in the dark I managed to get Console 1 working as expected on a simple track.

I am keeping Softube ticket open for next few weeks as really want to prove it still works with a song migrated from SONAR somehow.

After that I suspect Softube will close it as at least at the moment Cakewalk will not be providing support.

Well I have no answer why this is now working once again.
I was loading each project from latest to earliest taking snapshots of plug-in settings etc. ready fro migration and when I got to 4th project all of a sudden the Console 1 display screen opened up and I had full control again.
Loaded 1st project and it was now working there, next day loaded 1st project and it is still working.
