How can I contact Cakewalk support to get SFZ+ Player VST?

I can get to a link in the store that describes the program, but I cannot find a downlaod link anywhere?

I need the + version so I can run standard SF2 files, NOT sfz files.

You could try https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando/ which is free and should convert sf2 to sfz.

Which section? I just tried Pre-Sales as it wasn't really covered in any of the categories.

Does SFZ+ not appear in Support>My Account>My Products?

It's near the bottom of the list in mine.  Clicking the entry takes you to the download.

You could try https://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando/ which is free and should convert sf2 to sfz.

I already recommended it in another thread, he's not interested.

When you drop an SF2 file in SForzando it converts it to SFZ. For some reason he doesn't want this.

From that thread:

joden Shouldn't have to convert to sfz files and most convertors do a poor job anyway

However I was under the impression, the only thing that is converted is a text file, not the actual sample.
So that makes no sense to me.

I believe it depends which versions of Sonar you had. IIRC it wasn't packaged with Sonar X2 so it was a requested download.
They began gifting it after X1 with a download request.

My guess would be that only the definition file would be changed. I'd be surprised if it changed the audio in anyway.

Sorry.  Mine was registered in '09 - I don't remember how I got it.  I'm pretty sure Chuck has the answer; contact Cake for a link.  I would try PM-ing one of the Cake dudes

When Cakewalk stopped selling sfz+ they gave it away for a limited time in Nov 2009 along with the FX1, FX2 and FX3 effect bundles.

Which is exactly what I did after your recommendation, and now only a few hours later they have obliged and added a licence to my account. Brilliant service! Big thanks to Sarah

Sfz conversion doesn't affect the wave samples but it does affect how the synth manipulates them. Sfz format is a somewhat stripped down (simpler) rendering of an instrument. I've never had an sfz converted soundfont sound exactly the same as the original. Sometimes the change is so obvious the sound is unusable.

That link is for SFZ. The OP needs the + version (SFZ+)

True, but this version (1.9.7) actually does both sfZ and sf2 soundfont files and says so on the web page I linked to.

I found this version when I couldn't get sfz+ to work and use it specifically for soundfonts. It may be different than the one included with Sonar.

Sfz+ still doesn't work for me in Windows 10 when loading sf2 files. It either says there's not enough memory to load them or else it crashes Sonar. I may try to get another copy from Cakewalk to see what's going on with that.

Cakewalk just told me that SFZ+ is no longer available for download, so I find this all very interesting.

SFZ only loads soundfonts in 32 bit Sonar, not 64 bit Sonar. SFZ+ will load them bridged in 64 bit Sonar.

Google search revealed this post from 2011. Seems sfz+ has to be in PR32 mode to load soundfonts. SF32 mode gives the out of memory flag.

An alternate VSTi for loading Soundfonts (SF2) and SFZ files is TX16wx

This is a really full featured program up to date and 64 bit. It will function as a player but you can get down and dirty with it a do a lot of editing and create your own instruments.

Intel i7 3770K @4.4GHz, 32GB RAM, 240GB SSD System disk, 2 x 2TB and 1 x 1TB (with SSD Cache) HDD. Windows 10,  Sonar Platinum. Roland Quad Capture.

It seems to alter some soundfonts tho. I'm trying out VSTSynthfont which seems to load complex files more accurately.
