Dave Grohl as David Letterman
Did you happen to catch Dave Grohl guest-hosting Kimmel's show? Me neither. Past my bedtime. Fortunately, it's on YouTube. He did an unexpectedly good job.

Yeah , I saw the show last night ...thought it was great ..
Maybe a vid of The full on Alice Cooper song performance from the show will show up at some point . IMHO, I thought it was very happening .. Seeing what looked like a David Letterman playing a guitar cracked me up big time because David used all his hip rock star moves ... Kenny

I think Dave (G) can be a bit of a fromage meister at times but I would totally work with him. I have also always kind of envied Paul Schafer... because Dave (L) is awesome. What a cool gig.

did see him do his glastonbury set , he's a likeable guy but he dragged it out chatting, when they could have done another song or 3.. saw his Sound City documentary on bbc a few years back, do think he's better suited to more serious stuff. I guess it's a cultural thing, whats funny from country to country.. I know folk love james cordon there, thats great.. he can stay there, so can certain other ex-pats , those who don't want to pay silly tax here, but are soon on a plane when they have a new album out ;-)

My favorite Grohl song and kind of one of my favorite music videos. As Low As You Go (Not Safe For Work Imagery) I used to do a cover of this as well as a few other FF tunes. ALAYG is however above and beyond the most metal of the early FF collection. He was of course a monster and crucial component in Nirvana and his work on QOTSA SFTD was brilliant. Yeah, the Grohlster has the Beepso's respect.

Oddly enough, I really can't stand Grohl's music. It bores me to tears. But..wow, what a great job the band did with Alice Cooper. I always thought Ballad of Dwight Fry was a sleeper tune for most people, while I secretly loved it and played it back again and again when I was a wee lad...now I see everybody digs that tune. I wonder if Hello Hooray is the same way? Wake Me Gently? Grohl seems a real decent guy. I've read a few quotes from him, definitely my kind of people. I love that he respects old music and rockers.

I love that song! But then, I love pretty much every thing by Alice from Love it to Death until Special Forces - and with the exception of Muscle of Love. Event the subsequent Zipper Catches Skin isn't bad. But Special Forces... Not that I didn't try, but the best thing I can say about that record is that I enjoy every minute I spend not listening to it. Same with DaDa.

Great to see A.C. reprise his famous guillotine gag (designed by James Randi, who also originally played the part of the executioner).

That was weird seeing Letterman playing guitar. Too bad Mr. Grohl lost his head though...
