Using Sonar X3 Producer with Roland Integra 7 - replacing drumkit

I use GM2 standard midi files (Sonar - DAW), (Integra 7 - Sound Module) and would like to do the following: replace the GM2 drumkit on Channel 10 and replace it with a SuperNatural drumkit WITHOUT having to touch the Integra. Is it able to work within the GM2 specification and SuperNatural sets at the same time? Is there an easy fix? Do I need to remove the GM2 sysex file at the beginning of the song? Do I need to reassign all the patches/tones from scratch? I have loaded the instrument definition file and see the drumkits listed but am sure the GM2 specification prevents this from loading.

I use the Integra 7 and I am not sure I understand what you are doing or attempting to do.
Unlike previous Roland systems, the Integra does not have Performance Mode, this means you can use any channel for anything. For example: If you look at the Fantom XR, you will noticed there is a Patch Mode and Performance Mode.

If you want to assign a different Kit to a channel, you simply Create a User set of some sort and Save it in the Intergra, this way when the Integra Power on, this Kit will be assigned to that Channel.

    The best approach is this:
Grab the Instrument Def INI file for Sonar, Create a a Template and assigned Channel 10 to your drum kit. Now each time you select Channel 10 in Sonar, it will have whatever Drum Kit you need.

You will use the Integra Rhythm INI File for this.

Create a Template Project in Sonar, in your template Project Insert a MIDI track and set the Track to Channel 10, then select what ever drum kit you want from the Integra and save the template. Each time you use the template there will be a MIDI Track/Channel with that drum kit assigned to 10.

Because this is an INI file, it will call up the Integra settings, no need to touch the Integra.

What I am trying to achieve is this: replace the GM2 (Standard DrumKit) with a SuperNatural Kit for every midi-file that i have. So for now, only replacing Channel 10 drum-kit. Problem is - when I 'manually' (via Integra alpha dial) select the rich sounding Supernatural drum kit it defaults to the GM2 specification that is part of the sysex message at the start of the song. Do I set up a User Set with, for example, 256 equivalent High Quality Integra sounds (keep in mind the GM2 sound-list = 256tones), delete the GM2 sysex message and 'point' the song to the Integra User set? Thanks!

Yes, I have not done this before but that is what you will need to do.
I have to tell you, Roland have one of the best Product support and can help you through this process.

But if you are familiar with Instrumental Definition Files, you can edit this file to call different kits under GM2 Specification. I believe if you look at the files, it tells you what kits are listed for each section.

In a nutshell you will need to create a User Set of some kind and then try to overwrite the GM2 set in Integra. I have not done this before but I have done similar task on the Fantom XR, if there is a User GM set you can simply overwrite that with your own.

When I have a moment I will look more and see what I can find.

Thanks thus far: Audioicon. I've just performed a bulk dump at the start of the midi track on a separate track and it worked perfectly. Any opinion on this?

@Audioicon - I am familiar with the drop-down options in the Definition Files. Here is the key - the supernatural drum kit is NOT within the GM2 list (specification)...
