Ghost

Here's an acoustic piece I started working on during the summer and finally finished.
Gave me a good reason to get the 12 string guitar out of the case!
Enjoy!

Too much reverb for my taste, but it's a pretty piece.

Like James it has to much reverb for my furry ears, not a bad tune or playing though.

A cool song - I enjoyed the lead guitar playing.  I would describe the mood of the song as mellow.

Thanks to everyone for listening. The song was a little more melancholy or mellow than usual.
Guess it's just a state of mind. I like using reverb sometimes to lighten up the project and give the song some space.
probably went a little too far..
Thanks again for listening. I really appreciate the response. This is one of the few outlets I have to share some musical ideas.

I liked it very much, and I liked the dripping cave of reverb, actually.

It took me to the fourth bar to realize what the rhythm of the song was. I think I caught a couple of other "timing moments" as things went along. You likely just felt it and didn't use a grid, so that's cool. It holds together pretty well I'd say, nice performances.

Minimal string finger squeakery! Way to kabosh those. Plus, the tuning was really accurate as well! Not an easy feat with what sounds like multiple twelve strings . . .

    nice job!

Yeah, nice piece this... I don't mind me reverb either to be honest.

I would have tried a stereo widening plug for the rhythm guitar... I say "tried," because it probably wouldn't work, but still worth a try.

    cheers

    Thanks Tom and Andy.
No grid or metronome. Just played thru it so the timing is a little off in spots. It's tough not to get a lot of string noise. Especially using a close mic. I was happy with the end result. I try to use the reverb to widen the sound and soften the instrument placement so it's not so in your face. Some reverb helps create an atmosphere. i haven't found the right combination yet but I'm working on it.
Thanks for listening and your kind comments.

I liked it...    Personally I think the reverb added a nice vibe to the piece.   I actually would have liked a little more on the acoustic guitar bus.

Thanks Steve. Glad you liked it. I like using a little reverb. I think it adds to the mix when appropriate.
It's all in how it hits your ears. Speaking of hitting your ears - I checked out some of your music and was amazed!
Great stuff! I really liked Singularity and Fading. Very professional in all aspects. I like the guitar work on Fading and your use of reverb - I really think the reverb adds some depth and atmosphere. Great job!
    Thanks again for listening.
