export dialog box Copy Protection Option
greetings of the day.
Wayne Here.
some SONAR users spend a great deal of time and money on our work making music and it seems it is too easy to borrow a copy.
like SONAR has now made chanages that make us go on line before we can install which i unserstand is good business in a wolrd of internet users many of whom "want it all" included with the price of an internet service provision
a while back, i was talking to a guy on the bus and i asked him how he would feel if he had spent 3 years working on a project
(fleetwood mac rumors example)and he had been ripped off after placing it on market,
but that work and many others, pretty much everything that was every released can be found ending on on one of the file copying web sites out there of which there are many.
Never visited any of them, but I've been told.
so dude on the bus told me " it would be my own stupid fault for putting it out there(on the market) knowing good well that the internet was like that."
I'm not in any hurry, no rush to release any work, but none of us are really getting very much younger over the years.
i know everything is going to be allrite, i have no doubt,.
but i feel it is my duty to request an option to mix down to a copy protected 16b 44.1k stereo wav file.
maybe an option to allow a optional number of copies before it takes effect.
selecting 2 would allow me copy one to a cd and then one more from the original and none from the cd or maybe one from the cd on another option,
not knowing too much about the subject,. figure i would post and see what the experts say.
the experts,
a 'spert' being a drip under pressure and x is the unknown.
So how much money does it cost and is it profitable as far as seen by the users as well as from Rolands point of view.
not going ot hold my breath waiting
looking for it to appear in the choices listed on the export dialog box next month.
love,
later friends
