Looking for an audio clip repair plug-in

Hello fellow Sonarians,

I have some songs I "mixed" in the days when I didn't know that 0 dBFS was not the same as 0 VU and, of course, some of my mixes are clipped.

I think I remember reading about, seeing, plug-ins that can help repair or at least mitigate this problem?

Any ideas/ recommendations?

Many Thanks,
Ray

    In my experience,
    It depends how bad it really is. I've tried these plug ins. They work okay for certain things like narration, vocals.

    Mixes= forget it
    Multi track= if you zoom in close enough you can cut the clip out and sometimes it is barely noticeable.

    I have iZotope RX6 (deClipper) - but this has never worked on clipped audio.
    We digitize thousends of tapes and vinyl and have never found - in 15 years - any tool that repairs clipping in analog or digital recordings. The result is always unusable.

    We digitize tapes, vinyl, dat, md ... in broadcast and studio quality for publishers, public institutions and individuals.
    4 x Intel Quad-CPU, 4GHz Sonar Platinum (Windows 10 - 64Bit) and 14 computers for recording tapes, vinyl ...

    4 x RME Fireface 800, 2 x Roland Octa Capture and 4 x Roland Quad Capture, Focusrite .... Studer A80, RP99, EMT948 ...
