mc6 cant record

Make sure the Roland Tri Capture is setup in MC6. Here are the instructions. Then try adding an audio track to the project.

Welcome to the forum.
You have to tell MC what device to use for recording (Record Timing Master) and playback (Playback Timing Master). There should be drop-down arrows in those boxes with available devices. Select the Tri-Capture.

If the synth drums are the only input you see, that's probably a MIDI track.
Try an audio track.

Output is tri capture out
input is tri capture in
playback is ok 
When I change to ASIO, top of screen says,
"specify audio timing master devices  and default audio settings". (??)
and "apply" doesn't take.
Tracks are not in midi
Track inspector puts  synth drums right, synth drums left, synth drums stereo,
and I cannot dedicate track.
Please any help?

The synth drums comes with MC6. I dont know how they are connected up. I have used them alot previously.
I dont completely understand what you are saying about usb.
When it says track selection, I cant select, and drop down says source "none" for any track.
I guess there is no fixing this.
I would pay for tech support. 
Isnt there any service?
I guess I could re install.

Im using windows 7 professional.
 
I think That somehow I accidentally linked synth drums to track selection.
so on track inspector, on drop down menu instead of left, right, stereo,
I only get synth drums left, synth drums right, and synth drums stereo.
I'm sad.

Do you mean unplug tri capture from computer?
 
 

I unplugged USB, waited a few minutes, re plugged
Same as before Top box of track inspector says None, bottom box says Master
Top drop down says:None (which is checked), then Selected Track Input series, then 
Selected track inputs, then SI Drum kit
Then SI Drum kit has further drop down: Primary Output left mono, Primary Output Right mono, and
Primary output stereo. Nothing can be assigned, SI drum takeover
Bottom track inspector options are: None, then Tri Capture Out, then Master, then selected Track outputs,
then  New Stereo Bus.
Same problem. I cant record. Can I do a total re install?

I have no ASIO4ALL.
How do I re install ASIO drivers?
I have ASIO and
playback device says Tri Capture Out.
Recording device says Tri Capture In.
What to do?

I didnt see any instructions. I dont want to go pushing things and then get into worse trouble.
Not sure how to switch drivers. What would changing drivers do?...

 
It's not about changing anything. This is the software that you should have installed initially the first time you connected up your audio interface. Just download it and install it.

When I push download file,  then open, I'm taken to a blank page that says Win Zip Store at the top.

 
Save the file to disk first. Apparently it's a zipped file, so it needs to be unzipped before you can run it. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the file and see if there are any options to "unzip" or "extract". I'm guessing that you will end up with several files in a single folder and that one of the files will be a "readme" file with instructions.

What would happen if I deleted all MC6 stuff from my computer, then re installed it?

A compressed folder has the standard, yellow folder icon but the front has a zipper running up and down through the middle of the folder.  You will have to decompress the files in the zip folder before the files can be used.  To decompress a zipped folder:
1) Single right click on the zipped folder icon.  A sub menu window is displayed.
2) Select "Extract All..." on the sub menu.  A window opens stating you need to "Select a Destination and Extract Files"
3) Select the "Extract" button at the bottom of the window.
4) A folder will be created in the same location as the original, zipped folder.  The new folder icon will look like a normal folder and will not have the zipper on the icon.  The new folder will share the name of the zipped folder and will contain decompressed files.
