Audio Interface Dropping / Sample Rate Issue

Hey I'm trying to get the latest version of Sonar Platinum working on my PC.  It installs fine but I'm having 3 issues:
1) I set the sample rate to 48kHz in preferences but when I open a new project it's initializing at 44.1 kHz.  Windows and my Focusrite 18i8 ASIO interface are both set to 48kHz normally.
2) Biggest Issue: I load up a few instances of Komplete Kontrol.  As soon as I go to record on one of the tracks, the audio engine gives a popping sound and totally drops out.  This never happened before.  This does not happen in Reaper or Studio One.
3) Upon exiting, Sonar exits but frequently it doesn't actually quit from memory.  I have to go into task manager and kill it manually.
 
Is anyone else experiencing any of these issues?  They all seem to be related to my audio interface.  I'm running the latest Windows 10 version as well.
